Each year it is our goal to make the Nykredit Copenhagen Marathon even bigger and even more spectacular, and to get even more enthusiastic spectators out in the streets to cheer the runners along. For this reason we have done an extra effort this year to get lots of music and entertainment along the course. You will be able to experience everything from large rock choirs, young live bands, samba troups, salsa dancers, DJ’s, slacklining competition, Kayak events, art and much more. Also, the harbour bath at Islands Brygge is open especially from 12.00 am – 4.00 pm on this day, so that runners and spectators can take a refreshing plunge into the chilled, clean water.

Stay tuned with the news and read much more about the entertainment, the music, the hot spots, and café and restaurant offers here as well.

30 K at This Week’s Group Training

There’s now only a little more than a month left until we reach 20 May. This means that we will soon be entering the tapering period. But this is not until we have completed the longest pre-marathon distance yet – 30K – this coming Sunday.

Along the route there will be 3 hydration stations offering water and energy drink. The stations are placed at 4km, between 12 and 13km, and at 21km. If you need more fluid, we ask you to bring it yourself. Also, if you are not yet comfortable with taking fluid and food while running, this is a good opportunity to train this. During and after the run we also hand out cinnamon buns from Pågen Bakery.

As usual we start at 9.30 am from Østerbro Stadion, and everyone is welcome to come along.

Find the route here. Click on the route to see it displayed on map.

Nike Marathontest 1 held in surprising winter settings

The sight of new-fallen snow on Sunday morning probably surprised many of the 3714 runners that had signed up for the Nike Marathontest 1.
