As the entire route is free from traffic, car and bus traffic will invariably be affected. Many streets in Copenhagen will be closed during the event. We hope that the people of Copenhagen look forward to seeing and experiencing their city in its altered state. Roads will be closed and/or turned into one-way traffic approx. 30 minutes before the first runners approach these areas. The roads will be re-opened as soon as the last runner passes the area.
The route and traffic alterations are carefully planned, so that no citizens will be trapped in their district. However, diversions of traffic will be neccessary. Traffic jams will be inevitable in some areas, but the Home Guard will do their best to keep the traffic rolling. We thank you in advance for driving carefully and for respecting others in the traffic.
