The sight of new-fallen snow on Sunday morning probably surprised many of the 3714 runners that had signed up for the Nike Marathontest 1. Nontheless, 2151 runners didn’t let snow and minus zero degrees stand in their way of running the 10 km as planned. Out of the total number of participants, 1344 were men, and 807 women.
Even though the slippery, snowy track did require good balance and proper attire, there was a great atmosphere at the race and a high spirit among all the runners. Have a look at the awesome pictures from the race on facebook, and see for yourself. Also, you can see your personal result here. Later today it will be possible to print a diploma as well.
Hopefully, despite of the weather conditions, everyone got a somewhat useful indication of their current running form. We look forward to welcoming you all again at the Nike Marathontest 2 on March 11.
